Another innovative bakery has open in jakarta in 2015 with their unusual concept. They pronounce them self as “artisan bakery” that focus to creates variation of healthy yet delicious products with a twist of french-japan fusion yet still suite indonesian’s taste bud.
Their first bakery opened in Grand Indonesia at the beginning of 2015 and instantly become a big hit, up until now Francis bakery has start expanding to other areas such as north and west jakarta, also in tangerang city.


Their specialize products called “obao”, its basically a bread loafs with different textures and taste. Other than obao, they also provides variation of sweet bun, pastry and toast. Despite their bread size that’s quite big, the price is actually economical friendly. Their price ranges varies from Rp. 10.000 to 40.000.


My all time favourite is their cheese crater obao, they cut open the midddle of the bread loaf and filled it with cubes of cheddar cheese. Do put it in the oven before you eat it. The bread texture becomes crunchy outside and fluffy inside with the cheese slightly melted inside. Definitely a must try for all cheese lover.


They even provides bowls of sample for each of their obao products, so you don’t have to worry that you chose the one that doesn’t suit your taste. Unfortunately they don’t provides sample for other products such as sweet bun, pastry and toast.


Its always a joy visiting this bakery, their products really easy in the eyes that makes people want to try and buy every bread in the store. Because This bakery is still considerably new and growing they still inventing new products that will be release in each month.
Lastly, do ask them to cut the obao for you at the cash register after you pay, its much easier to eat on the go or to share with a friends and family.
